Mayfair Apartments consists of the gut rehab of the former WestHELP shelter facility and the construction of 3 new additions to include entry lobbies, elevators, and common area amenities. The property required extensive mold / asbestos abatement after sitting vacant for nearly 10 years.
Our team led the design / product selection effort for developers with a focus on long-term durability and energy efficiency. Units were upgraded to include central AC, high-end wood cabinetry, quartz counters, stainless appliances, tile backsplashes, and fully tiled baths / showers while staying within budget constraints. Extensive sitework upgrades include parking lot and walkway additions, extensive drainage upgrades, LED site lighting, and landscaping.
In compliance with the Energy Star program, energy efficiency upgrades include spray foam insulation, blown cellulose in attics, rigid foam insulation on exteriors, Buderus high-efficiency boilers, blower door testing, etc.
Touchstone self-performed demolition, carpentry, air sealing, and pipe insulation.
