In the heart of downtown historic Peekskill, in New York’s Hudson Valley, Peekskill Plaza had been providing quality senior housing since the early 1970s.
While well-maintained, the property suffered from deferred maintenance and required a comprehensive rehab.
The project scope included extensive building envelope upgrades such as repointing, new flashing, roofs, and all new windows / storefronts / balcony doors. Common areas were updated with bright lighting, cheerful finishes, and accessibility features.
All apartments were fully renovated with kitchens, baths, new finishes, and numerous “senior-friendly” features.
Touchstone worked hand-in-hand with the developer / management team to complete the rehab in 8 months, while nearly all residents remained living in their units.
