The East Village Infills project includes the new construction of (2) residential buildings on separate lots in the East Village of downtown Manhattan. Prior to construction, asbestos abatement and controlled building demolition with party wall conditions was required.
Extensive coordination with the NYC Parks Dept., NYCDOT, and various neighbors was required to allow construction to move ahead.
Complex foundation work resulting from the small sites and poor soil conditions required various support of excavation designs, dewatering, Stelcore piles, traditional grouted steel micropiles, and underpinning of adjacent buildings.
The projects are being funded through NYC HPD / HDC and are being built in compliance with Enterprise Green Communities.
